Rushmoor Borough Council
Roland Dibbs served with distinction on Rushmoor Borough Council for 25 years, having first been elected in 1987 to serve the residents of St. Mark’s Ward and then, from 1998, Knellwood Ward, until he retired in May 2019. Roland also served as a County Councillor representing the residents of the Farnborough South Division until May 2021. Roland was a much loved and respected Member of Rushmoor Borough Council and is deeply missed by all who knew and worked with him. Message from Mayor of Rushmoor – Councillor Bruce Thomas

Thoughts
Roland was a quietly spoken gentleman, very knowledgeable but didn't suffer fools gladly. He always gave me guidance in the time we worked together as councillors. He will be greatly missed by so many.

Roland was a real inspiration and a good friend. His constant and unwavering life of service was an inspiration to many of us and I am honoured to have known him.
He was a deeply committed member of the council and was always consistent to his Conservative principles.
I will really miss his anecdotes about council life, politics, the local area and about his service career.
